Always reliable for velvet

I've bought velvet here a few times now for costumes. This order for some green velvet was just as good as before. The color was accurate to the website, and it arrived well-packaged. They're consistent with their fabric quality and shipping times, usually reaching me in New York within 6-7 days. It's why I keep coming back, even with other options out there. Never had an issue with them, so I trust their stuff.

Got my sewing patterns

Needed some new sewing patterns for a project I'm starting, so I checked out Fabricana. They had a bunch of Vogue patterns on sale, so I grabbed a couple. The website was easy to navigate, and finding what I wanted wasn't a problem. Everything arrived pretty quickly, like, maybe 5 days after I ordered. No complaints, the patterns look good, and I'm ready to get started. It was a pretty smooth experience overall.

Good deal on cotton

I was looking for some quilting cotton and found a great clearance sale. Got several yards at 40% off, which made it way cheaper than my local shop. Shipping to Ohio took about a week, but for the price, it was worth the wait. The fabric quality is really nice.

Can you use more than one coupon code at checkout? Like if I have a newsletter discount and maybe find another one?

N Nick Adams 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they don't let you stack coupons. Most places don't these days.

J Jason N. 3 weeks ago
No, you can only use one promo code per order. They do have automatic sales that apply on top of that though sometimes.

Does anyone know if you can return fabric if you don't like it? Specifically if I order a few yards of something for a dress.

R Robert Evans 1 week ago
From what I remember, cut fabric is usually final sale. So if it's cut specifically for your order, probably not.

That's my understanding too. Better to get a sample first if you're not sure, especially for a bigger project.

Any info on their Black Friday sales? Thinking of holding out for some new sewing patterns and maybe a serger.

J John Jones 4 weeks ago
Oh yeah, they definitely do a Black Friday sale. Good time to grab patterns and notions.

They usually have big sales for Black Friday and Boxing Day. Sergers might be included in promotions then, but I'd keep an eye out closer to the date.

Hey, thinking about ordering some fabric but I'm in Portland, OR. Does Fabricana ship to the US or is it Canada only?

B Brian 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they ship to the US. I got a big order from them last month no problem.

They definitely ship to the States. I think the prices on the site are in CAD though, so just keep that in mind for your bank statement.

I want to sign up for the newsletter, does that actually give you a discount or is it just for updates?

A Anthony Scott 2 weeks ago
Yep, it usually gives you 10% off your first order when you sign up.

Confirmed, got a 10% off code when I signed up last month. Worth it for sure.

What's the smallest amount of fabric you can order? Do they have a minimum cut?

A Adam 1 month ago
I think it's usually 0.5 meters as a minimum cut, but sometimes it depends on the fabric.

J Justin W. 1 month ago
Most fabrics are sold in half-meter increments, so 0.5m is the smallest. Can't order like, a tiny swatch unless it's a sample pack.

Is Fabricana good quality stuff or is it more like budget fabricland finds? Looking for some nice linen.

A Amber K. 5 days ago
Way better than Fabricland, imo. Their quilting cottons are really nice and I've heard good things about their linens too.

They're definitely a step up. I got some velvet from them that was really luxurious. Don't compare them to Joann's bargain bins.

How fast is shipping generally? Need some quilting cotton for a gift and wondering if I should try to find something local instead.

O Olivia Lopez 1 month ago
It depends where you are, but I've had stuff arrive in about a week to Ontario. Might be longer for the US.

N Nick Martinez 4 weeks ago
For me, it was pretty standard, maybe 5-7 business days for an order within Canada. I'd add a few extra days for international.
